NextIQ
Every expo left Vipul sir, our BDE,1 with the same job: a stack of business cards to type into the CRM by hand.
That stack of cards became NextIQ.
A free hand
Our work at Satat was ERP and custom development. I convinced Munjal Kansara, who leads the company, that we should try something in AI as well, and he gave me a free hand to test things.
So during the holiday, I built something small.
The stack of cards
The problem came from Vipul sir. At an expo he met a lot of people, and afterwards he had to log every card as a lead in the CRM, one at a time.
Munjal sir added one more thing: he wanted to record notes too, by voice. Something like: this customer wants a pharma setup with customisation, and we should deliver a demo after a week.
That changed the job. A card only says who someone is. The note says what happens next.
One photo, one voice note
So the app stayed simple. Take a photo of the business card, attach a voice note, and it's done. It works in Hindi, Gujarati, English and Marathi, and it creates the lead, the task and the event by itself.
From a holiday to a product
I showed it to Munjal sir, and that demo became NextIQ. Today it scans a card, pulls out the details with AI and syncs the lead straight into ERPNext.2 The line on its website says it better than I can: don't collect cards, collect customers.
Then we saw Salesforce
A few days later, I came across a product that implements Salesforce automatically. That gave us the next idea: what if AI could implement Frappe?3
You would just type what you want. I want an HR management system with leave types. Or a customisation: I want to automate the timesheet based on the task. That's it.
Stay tuned
We're working on it now, and we'll release it soon.
The first version needed a photo. The next one only needs a sentence.
